Nelko P21 Label Maker Machine with Tape, Bluetooth Label Printer, White

The Nelko P21 Label Maker Machine is a small, wireless label printer designed for home, office, and school organization. According to the manufacturer, it weighs just 11.52 ounces and measures 6.65 by 4.5 by 1.9 inches, making it easy to carry and store. Unlike traditional label makers, it uses direct thermal technology, so you never need to buy ink or toner. Instead, it prints on thermal label tape, and the P21 comes with a starter roll of white label paper.

Setup is done through the free Nelko app, available for iOS and Android. The app connects to the printer via Bluetooth and offers a wide range of customization options: over 3600 icons, 700 borders, 5500 materials, 750 templates, and support for 29 languages. You can create labels with text, QR codes, barcodes, images, and borders. The printer outputs monochrome (black text) at a resolution of 203 DPI, which is suitable for clear, legible labels. Note that the P21 does not work with computers and is not compatible with Google Pixel phones running Android 14.

Portable and Inkless Printing

The P21 is designed for ultimate portability. Its compact size and lightweight build mean you can slip it into a pocket or bag and print labels wherever you are. The built-in rechargeable battery provides cordless operation, and charging is done via the included USB Type-C cable (charging adapter not included). Because it uses thermal printing, there’s no ink to replace—just load a roll of compatible thermal label tape and you’re ready to print. The manufacturer recommends using NELKO thermal label paper for the best results.

App-Powered Customization

The Nelko app is the control center for the P21. After downloading the app, you pair the printer via Bluetooth and can start designing labels right away. The app includes a vast library of templates, icons, borders, and materials, so you can create everything from simple name tags to detailed price tags with QR codes. The app also supports multiple languages, making it accessible to a wide audience. For iOS users, the manufacturer advises updating the app to version 4.8.0 or later for optimal performance.

Versatile Label Sizes and Uses

The P21 supports several fixed label lengths, including 14×40mm, 14×50mm, and 14×75mm, as well as other sizes like 15×30mm and 12×40mm. This range covers common labeling needs, from small name tags to larger organizational labels. The printer is widely used at home for organizing clothes, food storage, cosmetics, and mail; in the office for notebook tags, price tags, and reminder labels; and at school for name tags, item identification, and classroom organization. Teachers often use it to sort books, bins, and student folders, and it’s also handy for labeling kids’ school items like lunch boxes and pencil cases.

Important Notes for Best Performance

To ensure proper printing, do not tear or damage the green sticker on the back of the label strip, as this can affect the printing effect. Also, the P21 does not support continuous label tapes—only the specified fixed-length labels. The printer is not compatible with computers and requires a smartphone or tablet for operation. Additionally, it is not compatible with Google Pixel phones running Android 14. The package includes the P21 label maker, one roll of white label paper, a USB Type-C charging cord, a user manual, and a setup guide.

Who is it for

The Nelko P21 is ideal for anyone who needs a quick, portable labeling solution. It’s perfect for home organizers who want to label storage bins, pantry items, and files; for office workers who need to create price tags, reminder labels, or notebook tags; and for teachers and students who want to organize classroom supplies and personal items. Its compact size and app-based design make it especially appealing to users who prefer smartphone control over traditional keyboard-based label makers. However, it’s not suitable for those who need to print from a computer or require continuous label tapes.
